Scimedico's 6-Step Preventative Maintenance

Laboratories and companies can request preventative services up to four times a year. The service begins with a comprehensive inspection of the unit. Maintenance staff then test the unit’s electrical connection to assure safety. This is followed by a proprietary decontamination process that destroys pathogens.

Upon completion, a safety test is performed that includes checking the ventilation and electricity circuits. The entire process can take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the equipment and setting. Companies may schedule maintenance services to take place during closing hours. After decontamination, the maintenance technicians then draft a report covering the maintenance and any suggested repairs. The company works closely with its clients’ biomed department and can support clients that wish to perform their own repairs.
